AKS Diners - our first meeting

This new venture got off to a very successful start on Wednesday 2nd September,

The first meeting of the AKS Diners in Woo Jung

at Woo Jung Korean restaurant in St Giles High Street near Centre Point. The idea of a regular informal gathering, an opportunity for members to meet, eat and talk with no distractions, is the pet project of Social Events Secretary Sylvia Park. All those who attended agreed that the format worked well and looked forward to future meetings, the next one will be at the beginning of November.

Some feedback from those who came:

"I think the idea of regular dinners serves as an excellent counterpoint to the other AKS events, affording the opportunity to sit and really find out a bit more about other members and cement contacts already made.
It was a very enjoyable evening and both the food and the service in Woo Jung were excellent."

Claire O'Connell

"We enormously enjoyed the chance to meet other members and have extended conversations that shared our individual experience in Korea and widened our understanding of Seoul and how it has evolved. The food and service were very good and reminded us very much of pleasant dinners in Seoul. Thanks to Sylvia for organizing an interesting evening."
